How do people know that stars wars was once this good and still defend Disney like they haven’t destroyed it
Robbie knew what he was doing when he gave this song to Rick to sing. Heartbreaking.
The back story to TLW is better than most of the show! Except for this version of Dixie…! But you will not see many views of Levon in the documentary because he was elsewhere, pissed about the whole notion of ending The Band just because RR wanted to make a statement! So when they reunited, RR was not welcome. He threatened to sue. But didn’t. And The Band was much better without him!
Fu&k Bozo Joe Biden's amazing American 😢

Rick Danko had a beautiful warble.
What a corny mess of a terrible movie. 😅
I can remember attending a Ringo's All-Star Band concert and seeing half of the Band play with him. This was back in the 1980s. It was a truly amazing concert.
R.I.P Rick Danko.
If you don’t know ‘The Band’, then I don’t wanna know you.
Yes sir
Brad pitt on an average Thursday
Watching Star Wars in the late 70s for the first time would be MIND BLOWING. A space drama with a religion even more inspiring than the futuristic technology. The Force is an idea we immediately recognize innately as a hidden truth; sure it is a fantasy version of Taoism and Buddhism, yet names don't matter--it is the concept that resonates. It is for the same reason that the material reasons given in the prequels don't resonate. One touches a truth we feel, the other is made up.
Garth Hudson is a fucking Wizard
Damn……
I've got that hard to find CD. Also havr my old cassette. But it wore out long ago.
Robbie Robertson was a thief.
For those who know this movie well, we understand why Martin Scorsese had a soft spot for Rick Danko despite his secondary role in the film. Marty’s brilliance as a director was largely due to his ability to perceive the essence of a story in the presence of a minor role. If in doubt, ask Joe Pesci. As one who grew up in Ontario just a couple years behind Rick, and for a while eking out an existence in bar bands, Rick’s inner loneliness resonated with me deep down. That same sense as a youth of being overwhelmed by nature’s cruel perfection, as only Canada’s vast wastes can express it, was also beautifully expressed by Neil Young, in his “Helpless.” What was it about Rick Danko that captured me as well as Marty? Was it that heart-breaking catch in his voice? Or was it the awareness from the moment we saw him in this film’s opening scene, that although he was spiritually so innocent, he would be the one called upon to repent for all our sins.
Song was played on my husband memorial video

It blows my mind how "on it" literally every artist who performed during the last waltz was.. What an amazing show.
